Microsoft invested a lot in mobile phones powered by Windows but it could not withstand against Android and iOS. Microsoft lost almost $8 billion dollars in this phone experiment and 1850 workers were downsized. The mishap of ideologies between the two CEO’s Steve Balmer and Sathya Nadella cost Microsoft very dearly.
Consumer Electronics Show 2017 revealed to the world, the most exciting news. HMD global unveiled the specifications of the new Nokia phone powered by Android. It is going to be exclusively released in China at JD.com. The announcement was made on the last day of the show. I guess they saved the best for the last.
Premium Smart phones
The team behind Nokia 6 believed that the premium design of the phones will appeal to the customers. The main quality of the Nokia brand phones is its robustness. The team believes that they have preserved the premium qualities and have advanced it with Android’s user friendliness. HMD global has revealed that they are planning to release many models in 2017.
The firm said that they would reveal more details about future projects in Barcelona’s mobile congress in February of 2017.
“The decision by HMD to launch its first Android smartphone into China is a reflection of the desire to meet the real world needs of consumers in different markets around the world,” says the firm.
Strategically important Chinese market
HMD global says that their plan to release the mobile first in China is because of its market importance. Also it is a step towards solving the real world needs of consumers in various markets. The firm says it takes 55 minutes to produce a single Nokia 6. It is polished as much as 6 times. The result is an Aluminum master piece.
The Nokia 6 has 5.5” screen with HD display. Along with 2.5D Gorilla Glass and polarizer layer in the screen, Nokia is robust than ever. The mobile is backed with the latest generation Qualcomm snapdragon.
The Nokia 6 comes with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. It has Dolby sound with dual amplifiers giving 6db additional sound and deeper bass. Coming to the camera, the rear camera is 16MP phase detection auto focus coupled with an MP front camera.
